Feels like I've never really done anything for myself or my life. Even my friends care for me more than I really do and it all came through on my birthday. Touched to the point where I came to tears. One piece I loved from Haider Ackermann was this ONE piece draped dress that seemed to flow from an arm to the entire body. Liquid Black. Remember when Voldemort came back to his true form the smoke wisps seemed to condense into black fabric? That was so cool!

Another recently completed project! 'Exploded flares' pants in off-white. Pay no attention to the name, I just made them up. The exaggerated shape and the tappered cuff is just crazy, more pictures when I get them back after submitting!

And these Nylon nikes, the result of a collab between Nylon mag and Nike, are so delicious! I wonder if it's just that shade of green because I just bought the exact colour of fabric for another personal project, and also because they're the first pair of nike dunks I've ever owned. Here's testimony to quitting the addiction of an all black wardrobe.
Another thing, to anyone who (even) reads this, does anyone know where I can get a pair of those hyped Emma Cook boots for Topshop in Peach? I'm a size 40. They've been running through my mind....

Shoot of the 'Starguide' dress, made by Aaron and Clarion

The shots are out(finally)! From the large mass of images, 3 of which were decided on.. The shoot at the beach didn't work out as well as we thought and in additional salt to the wound, my topshop wedges got scratched by the rocks.

But this picture, my favourite of the three, just makes my mind wander to certain depths.. being at the scene sure wasn't any better, I was so uneasy and squirmish! Though I really love that purple light landing exotically on the creases of the dress that Aaron and I made. (Just wish to reinforce it one more time. Ok.)

Today's skies are a beautiful shade of sapphire blue, blotched with fluffs. And so the sun sets again..

I'm really happy because I managed to complete a dress in a day for Audi Fashion Festival'09 Little Red Dress's Press Conference @ St. Regis Hotel, which I attended today. I've never felt motivation in such concentrations before! But I'm glad I did. "The Little Red Dress" is part of the annual Singapore fashion festival, also known as Audi Fashion Festival. It's a movement by the Singapore Heart Foundation where several designers create a red dress for charity, which is then put up for auctions. I'm representing Blackmarket, one of the participating brands, along with a close friend. It's hush-hush, but we're planning a collab which will hopefully take shape by this month.

And I'm also having another photoshoot next week for the 2 red dresses mentioned, one by me and Aaron, and the other by me. Expect some saucy action.

The lavin x acne collection is up! Nothing special, but what I really liked was the soft and stretchy japanese denim used throughout the collection. Zips and contrasting buttons were applenty and a double breasted trench with strass buttons was an instant favourite. The only catch was the difference in colour of the denim in the shoot and of the garment itself; colours of the denim in the shoot did seem much more contrasting and blue.

Camera shy or "blogger's pose"? I really need to come up with new ways to document my everyday put-together. One of the reasons why I started this blog was so that I could begin my dedication to fashion a step at a time - starting from living up to my dress expectations. I'm not afraid to say that I used to be that jeans and t-shirt everyday gal, till my darling friend (who still is) reminded me that I am what I wear. I love that my friends reiterate the reason for the saying, who am I without them?

Anyways, I never thought drop crotch pants could look good on me until I tried them on, out of curiousity. I ended up buying two different pairs, which I'm glad I did. I don't think they're a fad, cause they're interesting!

I've been piled with work! Chancing upon Ann Demeulemeester, I had to wonder how on earth it was pronounced right (I've had a bad reputation with pronounciations; I once said HERMS - Hermes very loudly regretted right away) as it did seem like a big word and it wouldn't be nice landing myself in such an embarrasing situation since I was in fashion school wouldn't it?

ANYway, Demeulemeester's drapes were refreshingly nice to the eyes and I couldn't resist thinking about how much I wanted to feel those fabrics. The loose, relaxed jacket was a nice touch for layering purposes and the use of crystals was a spot on, providing a softer alternative after so much love declaration for studds.

I almost forgot - it's pronounced Ahn Deh-MUH-le-mees-ter :))
